Elsa Pataky is a health expert. The actress has made it her mission to lead an active lifestyle and to care for herself, promoting the practice for her family, who regularly practice sports like surfing, horseback riding, and motocross. In a recent trip to her home of Spain, Pataky shared some of her insights on health and motherhood, making an emphasis on how much she admires working mothers who make the sacrifices in order to prioritize their health.
Pataky was in Madrid attending various events. She opened up about her health and about how fortunate she is to have the time to focus on the things that matter to her and make her happy. "I know I'm privileged and that's why I feel absolute admiration for all of the working women who take care of their kids and not only do hundreds of things a day but they do them well," she said, as reported by the Spanish publication El Mundo.

Pataky is launching a nutritional supplement that fits into her health and activity-oriented lifestyle. "It's very important to lead a healthy and balanced diet, and of course, to practice sports. I know that it's complicated to make time with the lives we lead, but we have to try," she said.
She also shared her thoughts on the current trend of workouts, which focus on weight lifting and building muscle. "Nowadays, we put a lot of emphasis on lifting weights and building strength, which is fantastic, but we can't forget cardio and working on our balance. This is a fundamental thing to develop as we reach an older age. I encourage everyone to try their best, and not to settle."
Pataky on motherhood
Pataky had more thoughts to share on motherhood, revealing how much the process has affected her outlook on life. She shares three children with her husband, Chris Hemsworth: India, Sasha, and Tristan.
"Being a mother radically affected me," she said. "It's a beautiful and complicated mission. As the years pass, I'll say that beyond the health of my skin and all of those obvious things, I'm keeping the experience and the serenity that maturity brings in the face of the insecurities of my youth."
"In the end, the secret lies in feeling good about yourself and staying positive. That's what I'm aiming for right now: focusing on the beautiful things that life offers me and enjoying my kids."
