The past few weeks have been full of celebrations for the Pinault family, as some of the youngest members have reached new milestones. Last month, Valentina Paloma, daughter of Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault, turned 18, an occasion the family celebrated in grand style.
Now it’s Augustin James’s turn, the son the businessman shares with Linda Evangelista. Among the many birthday wishes the 19-year-old received were touching messages from his famous mother and his older sister, Mathilde.
Last weekend, on October 11th to be exact, Augustin celebrated another trip around the sun. While he doesn’t appear to have any public social media accounts, he still received heartfelt messages online. Mathilde took to her Instagram account to express her love for her younger brother, showing just how close the two are.
The 24-year-old equestrian, François-Henri’s daughter from his marriage to Dorothée Lepère, posted an Instagram Story featuring a smiling selfie with Augustin. She called him his affectionate nickname to family and friends “Augie.”
In the photo, the siblings are seen beaming at the camera, clearly enjoying a sweet moment together. “19!!!!” Mathilde wrote, adding several heart emojis.
In addition to his sister’s sweet post, Augustin's mother also shared a loving message for him. The legendary Canadian supermodel celebrated her son’s day by sharing a glimpse of their unforgettable trip to Kenya last summer. “Today, as we celebrate Augie’s 19th birthday, I thought I’d share a trip we took last summer that had always been at the top of my bucket list: visiting Kenya with him,” Linda wrote.
“An unforgettable journey. Sharing these places with him, places I will continue to support and that are very dear to me, was such a joy. It was a profound and emotional trip. We lived in the moment and captured these memories on our iPhones. Thank you,” she added, expressing gratitude to everyone who supported their mother-son adventure. “Happy birthday, Agostino,” she concluded her post.
Salma Hayek’s Affection for “Augie”
Although Salma Hayek didn’t post a public birthday message for Augustin this time, she has shown her affection for him on other occasions. Back in June, the Mexican actress shared a heartfelt message for her stepson on his high school graduation.
“Augie! We are so proud of you. Congratulations on becoming the extraordinary young man you are, and for still being our beloved boy! Congratulations to Linda, François, and to all the parents who helped our babies get here! Easier said than done,” Salma wrote at the time, sharing photos of herself with the graduate, François-Henri Pinault, and Linda Evangelista, with whom she maintains an excellent relationship.
In 2024, the actress also posted a loving birthday tribute when Augustin turned 18. “Happy 18th birthday, Augie. You are officially an adult now, at least in Mexico and France. Your tender heart is like a healing touch in our lives. You bring warmth and light to everyone around you. Keep bringing laughter and joy. We love you so much,” Salma wrote, along with several photos of herself with Augustin.
