Frances Bean Cobain and Riley Hawk are marking a special milestone, their second wedding anniversary. The couple, both children of iconic figures, celebrated with heartfelt tributes, reflecting on their journey together as partners and new parents.

Frances, 33, daughter of the late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and rock star Courtney Love, shared a romantic photo from their wedding day. The image captured the couple under a beautiful white floral arch, with Frances glowing in a flowing white gown and Riley, 32, dressed sharply in a black tuxedo. Over the photo, she wrote, "Celebrating our second wedding anniversary today! @rileyhawk We both forgot because we don't sleep anymore, but I wouldn't want to walk sleeplessly through life with anyone else. I love him deep in my bones."

The couple tied the knot in October 2023, with a ceremony officiated by Michael Stipe, frontman of R.E.M. and Frances’ godfather.

Riley, son of legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, also commemorated the day with a tender Instagram Story. He posted a selfie showing himself standing behind Frances, kissing the top of her head as she snapped the photo. He captioned it, "2 years married to my best friend!"

Speaking to People magazine earlier this year, Riley opened up about their evolving family life and the legacy they carry. "My dad helps a lot, and it's really cool that we get to all hang out together," he said. "It's just a cool thing for him to get to hang out with his grandson a lot. That's kind of where we're at, just taking it day by day."

He also reflected on his own experience as a father and the insights it has given him about his famous father’s life choices. "It is really cool to understand his decisions from a different perspective now that I am a father," Riley shared. "All I can hope to do for my son, is just give him the opportunity if something interests them or they fall in love with a certain sport or hobby."

The couple’s lives are a unique blend of skateboarding and rock royalty, and they maintain a quiet, grounded family life amid the spotlight. "We just do our own thing," Riley told People. "We don't really think too much about it, honestly, other than the fact that we do stuff like this with a video game, or whatever it may be, or something regarding her side of the family. But other than that, we're just a very quiet stay-at-home family. We just hang out."

Tony Hawk, who became a grandfather for the first time when Ronin was born, has shared heartfelt reflections on the family’s connections and loss. In an emotional post last year, he expressed sadness that Kurt Cobain never got to meet his grandson.

"I wish Kurt were here so he could see the incredible woman his daughter has become, meet her devoted, caring husband, and hold our wondrous grandchild," he wrote. The post struck a chord with fans who praised the touching tribute.
