Selena Gomez has given fans a rare glimpse into her wedding day, sharing intimate moments with longtime friend Taylor Swift in a heartfelt Instagram tribute that coincides with the release of Swift’s new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl.'
The singer and actress tied the knot with music producer Benny Blanco on September 27, 2025, in a beautiful ceremony in Montecito, California. To mark the occasion and celebrate Swift’s latest project, Gomez posted never-before-seen photos and videos capturing the pair’s close bond on the big day.
“In honor of SHOWGIRL... blessed to have you by my side almost 20 years later gator! I love you @taylorswift forever and always,” Selena captioned the post.
A photo shows Swift sipping cocktails with Gomez in the bridal suite. Taylor stunned in a plunging, sheer Oscar de la Renta gown adorned with sequined florals, paired with her signature red lipstick, while Gomez looked classic and radiant in a simple white slip dress.
Another image showcased Swift glowing in a strapless black gown featuring a sweetheart neckline, standing beside a sparkling Gomez dressed in a white sequined long-sleeve number.
A behind-the-scenes video captures a touching moment as Swift reacts to Gomez putting on her veil. “Are you even serious? What? Look at her!” Taylor exclaims excitedly. The camera pans to their reflection in a mirror, showing the bride and her best friend sharing the special moment. “Oh my god,” Swift repeats in awe, while Gomez beams, “I’m so happy! I’m getting married, finally!”
Swift later praised Gomez’s bridal beauty during an interview on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up. “Not just the most beautiful bride,” she said, “just like the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.” She added, “I’m just so happy, and she deserves it so much. And you only wish that for people, you know?”
The close friendship between Gomez and Swift goes back nearly two decades. Gomez once reflected on their bond, saying, “I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other because it was really sweet.” She continued, “We just stuck around for all the ups and downs that came after and here we are now 16 years later.”
Swift’s involvement in the wedding extended beyond just being a guest, she and fellow musician Ed Sheeran gave heartfelt speeches during the reception.
A fan wrote, “I’m gonna cry, the absolute sweetest friendship … or let me say sisterhood!!” while another added, “The way you always show up for each other is such a beautiful friendship, queens supporting queens forever.”
