Cazzu kicked off her Latinaje Tour at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During her big return to the stage, the so-called “Nena Trampa” appeared to send a subtle message to the father of her child, singer Christian Nodal, while also getting visibly emotional during a particular performance.
On Saturday, September 13, the Jujuy-born artist launched her tour, which will also take her to Mexico in the coming weeks. With a show that blends music, dance, visual arts, and plenty of passion, Julieta Emilia Cazzuchelli, better known as Cazzu, gave her all to her audience.
A Dig at Nodal?
Amid the excitement, Cazzu shared a message that many interpreted as a veiled reference to Christian Nodal. “Learn, you know? Watch and learn. That’s it. And you thought you were the devil, idiot,” the 31-year-old singer can be heard saying.
Recently, both artists have been in the spotlight after Cazzu revealed that Nodal has refused to grant permission for their two-year-old daughter, Inti, to leave Argentina, keeping her from traveling abroad with her mother. While in Mexico in mid-August, Cazzu joined the podcast Se Regalan Dudas, revealing details of the tense legal conflict with Nodal. Since Inti is a minor, she needs consent from both parents to travel internationally.
On the podcast, Cazzu recalled one of the hardest moments of her custody battle. Inti, who is days away from turning two, lives in Argentina with her, but Nodal has not granted permission for her to leave the country. During Cazzu’s recent trip to Mexico, her daughter stayed in Argentina with her grandmother. “You could imagine I’m at my peak, in my best moment. People stop me on the street and say beautiful things to me, I have a book that’s doing well, a record that’s doing well… but I’m a single mom.” She described the meeting: “The other day I was in a mediation with my lawyer, a female mediator, the lawyer for my daughter’s father, who is also his manager. It was just us. I hadn’t felt that bad in a long time, but that day I had this horrible feeling of thinking: ‘The world is devastating.’”
Cazzu Gets Emotional Singing 'Piénsame'
On her second night at the Movistar Arena, Cazzu performed "Piénsame" and couldn’t hold back tears. The song carries a special meaning, as it was the very one she performed alongside Christian Nodal in 2022 during a show in Guadalajara. That time, with a mariachi band backing them, the couple looked affectionate and in sync on stage, never imagining that less than two years later, their relationship would end.
Some believe her emotions are tied back to her past with Nodal, while others insist the song reminded her of her grandmother.
Inti Turns Two
Another emotional highlight came on Sunday when Cazzu sang Inti, the track inspired by her daughter. Overcome with tears, she turned to her audience and expressed gratitude: “Sometimes I don’t understand why you give me so much love, and now I don’t understand why you give so much love to my baby. Surely this will be a beautiful memory to keep,” she said.
Along with her first two tour performances, Cazzu celebrated Inti’s second birthday with a cozy party at home, filled with heartfelt details and warm wishes for the little one.
On social media, the singer shared glimpses of the celebration she created for her daughter, a fantasy setting with woodland animals, flowers, colorful banners, and balloons.
