Selena Gomez had more than just Emmy night magic to celebrate. After dazzling on the red carpet with her fiancé, Benny Blanco, at the 77th annual Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 14, the star of "Only Murders in the Building" came home to find a sweet surprise waiting just for her.
The 33-year-old actress made waves at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, stepping out in a stunning floor-length red Louis Vuitton halter gown, paired with Tiffany & Co. jewels. By her side was Blanco, 37, who kept things sleek and stylish in a classic black suit. The couple, known for their affectionate public appearances, didn’t hold back on the PDA, turning the red carpet into a romantic runway of their own.
Inside the ceremony, Gomez mingled with Hollywood royalty, including Cate Blanchett, and co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short.
Her hit series "Only Murders in the Building" scored an impressive seven nominations, and Gomez celebrated afterward with co-star Richard Kind and the hardworking crew at an afterparty.
The Sweetest Homecoming
But the real scene-stealer came after the glitz of the evening. In an Instagram post the following morning, Gomez revealed that she returned home to a poolside setup straight out of a rom-com, carefully staged by Blanco. Candles lit up the night sky around their pool, where Gomez posed in a ruched gray Louis Vuitton gown with her arms outstretched and the biggest smile.
“Grateful for all these people forever and always. Came home to a surprise my baby put together ☺️,” Gomez captioned her post. Blanco chimed in with the kind of comment that melts hearts instantly: “I win an award every night (you).”
Her Instagram Stories gave fans another peek featuring a cozy photo of her lounging on a sunchair in the glowing candlelight, plus a glamorous selfie inside their home.
Love, Laughter, and What’s Next
The couple, who announced their engagement in December 2024, has been leaning into celebration mode all summer. Just last month, they threw unforgettable bachelor and bachelorette parties, complete with star-studded guest lists. While a wedding date hasn’t been officially announced, names like Ed Sheeran and Paris Hilton are already on the expected guest list.
Paris and Nicky Hilton shared the news while being interviewed by Access Hollywood. The sisters were asked about the weddings they'd like to attend, mentioning Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, Dua Lipa and Calum Turner, and Gomez and Blanco. Nicky chose Swift and Kelce while Paris chose Blanco and Gomez. "Love them," she said.
"Aren't you attending that?" asked Nicky.
"Yeah, I wasn't going to say that, but I don't know. I wasn't planning on it," said Paris, sharing an awkward laugh, and Nicky apologized.
It was reported that Gomez and Blanco would be getting married in the Montecito/Santa Barbara area, in a location that has yet to be disclosed to their guests.
