Supermodel Linda Evangelista made headlines at New York Fashion Week, stepping out for a rare public appearance alongside Valentina Pinault, the 17-year-old daughter of Salma Hayek and François-Henri Pinault.

Evangelista, 60, joined Valentina at the Kering Foundation’s Fourth Annual Caring for Women Dinner at The Pool in New York City. The moment was captured in a sweet photo showing the pair side by side.

The supermodel dressed in a classic black suit and white shirt combo, elevated with silver glittering drop earrings, while Valentina wore a sheer black glittery mesh top, her hair styled simply down.

Though best known for her legendary modeling career, Evangelista’s personal life has also captured public interest, particularly her ties to the Pinault-Hayek family.

She shares 18-year-old son Augustin “Augie” James with billionaire businessman François-Henri Pinault. Pinault, now married to actress Salma Hayek, also has Valentina with Hayek, as well as two children, Mathilde, 24, and François, 27, from his previous marriage to Dorothée Lepère.

The glamorous evening event brought Evangelista and Valentina together in front of cameras, offering a glimpse into the warmth of their extended, blended family. It’s far from the first time the supermodel and her son have shared meaningful moments with Hayek and her family.

Earlier this year, Evangelista posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute to her son following his high school graduation complete with images that spoke volumes about their family bond. One particularly touching image featured Evangelista posing proudly with Augie, Pinault, and Hayek, all smiling as they celebrated the milestone together.

"Then this happened," Evangelista captioned her post. "I'm one proud momma. Blessed blessed blessed…." Among the carousel of photos she shared: Augie on stage in his cap and blue gown, proudly holding his diploma, and one deeply personal shot of the trio, Linda, François-Henri, and Salma, glowing with pride.

Hayek posted her own message celebrating the moment, "Augie!!! We are so PROUD of you. Congratulations for becoming the extraordinary young man that you are and managing to still be our lovely boy and congratulations to Linda, Francois and all the parents who got our babies up to this point. Easier said than done." Evangelista replied in the comments, "Love you and all your support."

Evangelista also shared in Vogue that she recalled a time when she was ill and couldn’t host Thanksgiving. Hayek responded not with sympathy, but action. “I was sick,” Evangelista shared.

Augustin and Valentina have two elder half-siblings, Mathilde and Francois, from their father's previous marriage to Dorothee Lepere.

“And Salma got on the plane with her daughter, came here, and made Thanksgiving dinner. Spent the day in the kitchen and cooked it herself. No help. The kids helped her at the end. She made a feast, a beautiful, beautiful meal. I had told her that I wasn’t going to have Thanksgiving because I wasn’t feeling well. And she said, ‘Oh yes you are. I am coming.‘ And poof, she was here.”

Their shared bond has also played out publicly in support of Evangelista’s professional projects. When Linda released her coffee table book 'Linda by Steven Meisel,' Hayek helped promote it online, calling it “the perfect gift.”

At the end of the clip, the two women exchanged smiles and a hug. “Thank you always my dearest Salma for your support,” Evangelista added. “My proceeds are going to breast cancer.”
