Anya Taylor-Joy stunned fans with a jaw-dropping new look. The Argentinian actress was spotted filming her upcoming drama series 'Lucky' in Los Angeles, and all eyes were on her new hairstyle, as she is known for her signature long blonde hair.
The actress appeared almost unrecognizable, sporting a dramatic short bob hairstyle. Although this is a big contrast to her usual style, the new look was seemingly achieved with the help of a blonde wig, in the same shade as her actual hair
Anya paired the bold new hairstyle with a fitted leather jacket and black jeans, completing a sleek, edgy look far removed from her typical glamorous image. Carrying a large green backpack, along with what appeared to be takeout food and coffee, the star seemed fully immersed in her role.
This isn’t the first time Anya has rocked the striking bob for 'Lucky.' Back in March, she was photographed wearing the same wig on set, confirming the hairstyle is a temporary transformation crafted for her character.
Fans who’ve followed Anya’s career know this isn’t her first bold hair decision for a role. Last year, she openly expressed her desire to shave her head for the film 'Furiosa,' only to be stopped by director George Miller who insisted her hair was “too beautiful” to cut.
Anya's hairstylist Gregory Russell has previously spoken about the meticulous care Anya’s long blonde hair requires, from deep conditioning to sun protection, indicating that she is not changing her image anytime soon.
