Shakira and Lele Pons have developed one of our favorite friendships. Pons has been a lifelong fan of Shakira, with their friendship starting off from a place of admiration and resulting in many contributions together after Shakira's move to Miami. After attending one of Shakira's shows in the US, Pons shared a video of Shakira's sweet gesture for her baby.
In the clip, Pons shared some of the gifts that Shakira gave her baby. The presents were all in pink, and included balloons, an adorable wolf plushie, bathing suits, outfits, and shoes.
Pons also shared a look at the handwritten note that Shakira wrote, which accompanied her presents. "Congratulations! With all my love, Shaki," read the note, which was written in Spanish.
Pons shared how moving she found the gesture, writing, "Thank you, Shakira! I'm crying. Beautiful designs," she added, tagging the brand La Mar-K Creative Studios.
Following Shakira's show, Pons shared an emotional post, showing their relationship over the years. One photo shows the two's first meeting, in 2018, when Pons was just a fan. The photo from 2025 shows the two as friends, with Pons wearing a Shakira t-shirt as she proudly shows off her pregnant belly.
"2018 VS. 2025!!" wrote Pons in the caption. "A lot has changed! Shakira got younger and i got pregnant," she wrote, adding a laughing crying emoji. "Thank you for the most iconic show."
When is Pons delivering her baby?
Pons and her husband Guaynaa shared the news of their baby in March. Over the past couple of months, the couple has shared news about their baby, including a look inside their gender reveal party.
The pair hosted the party at the Faena Forum in Miami, where they were accompanied by their closest friends and family. They learned the baby's sex with paint cans popping open in either blue or pink.
The baby girl will be born this summer, with Anitta serving as the godmother. Notorious guests at the event included Chayanne, Ricky Montaner, Sebastián Yatra, Beto from Rawayana, Greeicy, Belinda, Natti Natasha, Harry Jowsey, Camila Coelho, and more.
