Move over Nick Cannon because Elon Musk has seemingly confirmed the birth of what could be his 14th child. On Friday, February 28, Shivon Zilis, with whom he already shares three children—twins Strider and Azure, plus one-year-old Arcadia—announced the arrival of their son, Seldon Lycurgus.
Following Arcadia’s first birthday, Zilis, an executive at Musk’s Neuralink, shared the news on X, writing, “Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus. Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much.”
Musk responded in the comments, seemingly confirming the news with a heart emoji.
Musk’s growing family, which he’s been pretty vocal about due to his belief in population growth, now reportedly includes 14 kids with four different women, some of whom were conceived through IVF.
The news comes after 26-year-old influencer Ashley St. Clair made headlines by claiming to have had Musk's 13th child, a five-month-old boy. She’s since filed for sole custody and demanded a paternity test, claiming Musk has been absent from his son’s life. A New York judge has ordered the billionaire to respond to her request by May 29.
Zilis did not reveal Seldon's age, so it's unclear which child is the 13th or 14th.
Meanwhile, one of his four baby mothers, singer Grimes, made headlines after trying to reach him publicly about one of their children. “Plz respond about our child’s medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention,” the 36-year-old wrote in a reply to one of Musk’s tweets.
Grimes, who also called out Musk's decision to bring their son X Æ A-XII, to the Oval Office warned that it could lead to "life-long impairment" if not addressed. The post was later deleted from X, and it's unclear if he responded.
Musks children explain
Musk shares custody of his four sons with his former wife, Justine. The former couple welcomed twins Griffin and Vivian, with whom he is estranged, in 2004 and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian Musk in 2006 through IVF. Their first child, Nevada Alexander Musk, was born in 2002 and died at just 10 weeks old of sudden infant death syndrome.
In addition, Musk and Grimes welcomed X Æ A-Xii (nicknamed "X") in 2020 and later welcomed two more children: Exa Dark Sideræl Musk (nicknamed "Y"), born via surrogate in 2021, and a third child named Tau Techno Mechanicus, revealed in 2023.
Musk fathered his twins in 2021 with Zilis: Strider and Azure, Arcadia, and the new addition Seldon.
If Clair's paternity test comes back positive, he is also the father to a son who goes by R.S.C.
