After finding love with Costner's former friend and wealthy financier Josh Connor, a source told PEOPLE that he proposed on January 26 in Santa Barbara. She reportedly thought it was just an "intimate dinner." "It was about to rain, so almost no one else was on the beach when Josh got down on one knee," the insider explained.
The proposal comes after they spent Christmas in New York together last month, "where it all began." "They are both over the moon and excited for their future together." She has the support of her inner circle as well, "Her friends and family have been incredibly supportive of her relationship with Josh, and everyone can tell how happy they are together," a source explained.
Baumgartner and Connor's love story
While Costner and Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 2, 2023, court filings later confirmed she listed their date of separation as April 11, per PEOPLE.
She and Connor made headlines in July when they were spotted vacationing in Hawaii with her children, whom she shares with Costner.
However, in August 2023, she denied they were in a romantic relationship when it was called into question during a court proceeding in Santa Barbara for her divorce.
