Clint Eastwood's son Scott has shared an update on how his famous father is doing after the death of his partner, Christina Sandera. She passed away in July 2023 from a heart attack at the age of 61.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the 38-year-old who followed in his father's footsteps as an actor and producer said following Sandera's passing, the 94-year-old is "good." "He's doing good,” he shared, calling him a "survivor" and "trouper."
Expanding on his father's incredible life story, he explained how Clint, born in 1930 during the Great Depression, grew up witnessing the struggles of that era and was young during World War II, saying, "He saw a lot of struggle."
His strength and resilience have trickled down to his eight children, with Scott saying, “It’s in our blood. You don't complain. You don't whine. You just do.” “There is no room for complaining,” he added.
Christina Sandera's passing
Sandera and Clint met in 2014 when she was working as a hostess at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel, California. They found love and made their public debut at the 88th Academy Awards in 2015.
Her cause of death was confirmed by the Monterey County Health Department to The Post, with her death certificate noting atherosclerotic coronary artery disease as a contributing factor.
At the time, the Oscar winner said in a statement, “Christina was a lovely, caring woman, and I will miss her very much."
Clint Eastwood's family tree
Clint has been married twice and has eight children from various relationships. His oldest, Laura Murray, was born in 1954 before he was famous and was given up for adoption shortly after birth, with Clint unaware of her existence at the time. They reconnected, and she was publicly acknowledged as his daughter in 2018.
Kimber Lynn Eastwood was born in 1964 and is the daughter of actress Roxanne Tunis. They were reportedly having an affair during his marriage to Maggie Johnson. The former couple was married from 1953 to 1984.

His daughter Francesca was born in 1993, from his relationship with actress Frances Fisher. His youngest daughter, Morgan Eastwood, who he walked down the aisle last year, was born in 1996, from his marriage to news anchor Dina Ruiz. They got married in 1996 and lasted until 2014.
