Madonna has always had an open mind when it comes to religion, and this year, she celebrated both Christmas and Hanukkah with her loved ones. The 66-year-old shared a reel on December 26 with photos of her celebration, which included her children, Lourdes Leon, 28, Mercy James, 18, twins Stella and Estere Ciccone, 12, and her 28-year-old boyfriend, Akeem Morris.
Christmas and the start of Hanukkah fell on the same day this year. "The most wonderful day of the year ………..X-mas and Hanukkah all at once," she wrote in the caption.
The "Like A Virgin" singer has a long-standing connection to Judaism through her study of Kabbalah, a form of Jewish mysticism, which she began exploring in the mid-1990s. As noted by The Guardian, she adopted the Hebrew name Esther and participated in religious practices such as giving her son Rocco a bar mitzvah.
Madonna's model daughter Lourdes happily posed with her younger siblings and mom. It's always nice seeing the special bond Madonna has with her children. She shares Leon with Carlos Leon and adopted James from Malawi in May 2009 and the twins in February 2017.

Akeem has celebrated many special moments with Madonna's family since they began dating, like her 66th birthday in Italy and the twin's birthday earlier this year.
However, DailyMail reported on Monday, December 11, that they quietly split in late October. An insider told the outlet she ran into "the same issue with this boy toy as she has with all of her recent men."
They also cited their age gap as an issue and his "wandering eye." "They come from different time periods. Madonna felt Akeem had a wandering eye because he did," the insider shared.
But from the holiday celebration and her recent social media activity, it's clear the couple is still on.
