Katie Holmes is known for her casual yet sophisticated look. The Hollywood star, who continues to enjoy her time on Broadway, is always looking effortlessly cool, on and off the red carpet, which is no surprise that her daughter Suri Cruise is taking a page from her lookbook.
This is not the first time Suri has been spotted wearing outfits inspired by Katie's style, and wearing some of her statement pieces, including one of her favorite winter jackets. Most recently, the fashion student was seen walking around New York City in a casual ensemble, almost identical to Katie's outfit.
Suri was photographed arriving at the Barrymore Theatre to watch her mom perform in "Our Town" on her birthday. She wore a green puffer jacket, light-wash jeans, and white sneakers, paired with a brown bag.
Back in 2019, Katie wore a similar winter outfit. The actress was photographed at the time completing the look with dark sunglasses and golden jewelry, arriving from Ohio to her apartment in NYC with a young Suri.
The cozy green puffer jacket has been a favorite in Suri's closet now that she is all grown up, as she also wore it during her latest outing with one of her closest friends. The pair were all smiles at the farmer's market, and Suri seemed to be in happy spirits despite her recent split from Toby Cohen.
"Suri believed she was in love and wasn’t afraid to show the world, so the breakup was not easy on her, but she has worked through this with the help of her friends," a source explained to the Daily Mail. The pair went different ways after attending prom together.
Suri is currently at Carnegie Mellon University while Toby is studying at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. "They split quietly at the end of summer," the source said to the publication. "She was good friends with him for a long time so that made it especially hard but she’s a strong young woman," they added.
