It was a big day for David Beckham. The former British footballer was knighted by King Charles III at Windsor Castle, receiving the title of Knight of the Order of the British Empire.
His sporting achievements and charitable work earned him the honor, a title that automatically makes his wife, Victoria Beckham, Lady Victoria. True to her sophisticated style, she avoided an extravagant look, choosing instead to shine by revisiting one of her most iconic dresses while also designing her husband’s ensemble.
David Beckham, visibly excited for the special day, arrived at the castle with his wife by his side. Victoria’s outfit confirmed once again that navy blue is her go-to color for royal occasions.
She wore it just as she did at Kate Middleton’s wedding to Prince William on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey. At the time, she was pregnant with daughter Harper. Navy was also her choice for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

For the occasion, Victoria selected her midi-length Isabella dress (originally floor-length), which features short sleeves with side slits, ruched draping at the front waist, a round neckline, and a V-shaped open back.
It’s the same dress Princess Ariane of the Netherlands wore for Prince’s Day on September 16, 2025. Meanwhile, in lime green and midi-length, the dress is also in Queen Letizia’s wardrobe.
She wore it at a reception at Buckingham Palace before King Charles III’s coronation, causing commotion and selling out in Victoria Beckham stores.
Previously, the dress had also been worn by Victoria herself, Kendall Jenner, and walked the runway with Bella Hadid.

On this historic day, David Beckham paid a heartfelt tribute to his wife by asking her to design his look, a sophisticated morning suit. The athlete told the British press that his wife designed the suit, inspired by previous outfits of King Charles III.
David also praised King Charles III, detailing his sense of style and admitting that he wanted to wear something similar for his special day. He shared the photos with Victoria, and the fashion designer crafted the royal look.
The sportsman shared an emotional message following the historic moment. "I can't even begin to describe what a special day it is for me today, a boy born in East London, to receive a Knighthood from His Majesty The King. I am truly humbled and so grateful for this honour," he wrote on Instagram.
"I have been fortunate to represent our country and I've always done that with pride... I love our Royal Family and what it means to people not just in Great Britain but around the world. I could never have dreamed that this would happen to me," David stated.
He continued, "All I have ever wanted to do is to make my family proud. My parents and grandparents who were always there for me and instilled the right values of hard work and respect. My beautiful wife who has been by my side for the last 28 years, who has been my biggest supporter and my shoulder to cry on in tough times," David wrote, praising Victoria.
"Without her I wouldn't have had the life I have had. To my beautiful children who I am so proud of and I know this is a proud and inspiring day for them as well, they are our greatest joy in life and my inspiration every single day. I love you all so much."
