Dubbed the “fourth pyramid,” the Grand Egyptian Museum opens its doors after more than 20 years of construction.

Queen Mary's symbolic gesture:

Mary chose a guipure lace ensemble by the Australian label Zimmermann, featuring a short-sleeved, high-neck top paired with a matching midi skirt. The floral-patterned lace hinted at a delicate mint undertone, giving depth to the stunning white fabric. While the design recalled bridal imagery, it felt effortlessly modern and natural.

The outfit is from Zimmermann’s Natura line, celebrated for Victorian-inspired silhouettes and artisanal finishes. Founded in 1991 by sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann in Australia, the brand is a nod to the queen’s homeland, a subtle, symbolic gesture during an event of international significance.

Queen Mary’s official visit to Egypt marks a new chapter in Danish-Egyptian cooperation.

Her hair was worn down with a side part and soft waves, complemented by natural, eye-focused makeup. The result was a feminine, refined look, quintessentially Danish in its preference for clean lines and weighty textures over excess embellishment.

A historic event:
