Princess Amalia and Queen Maxima are nearing the end of their time in New York. The Dutch Royals have been visiting the city for the past week to attend the UN's 80th General Assembly, where they've joined other Kings and Queens as some of the most prominent world leaders discuss the challenges that are facing their nations. Yesterday, the Princess and the Queen stopped by the Plaza Hotel, where they met up with some of the leading figures from various industries and nations, including Bill Gates.
For the occasion, the Princess looked as trendy as some of the leading celebrities and influencers, wearing a blue dress that fell just above her knee. She completed the look with brown leather boots and with her hair styled long and straight, showing off an elegant style that was unafraid to stay relevant and cool for people in her generation.
Photographers captured her and Queen Maxima as they walked through some of New York's most emblematic locations, including Times Square, with the Princess and Queen surrounded by their security, crowds, yellow cabs, neon screens, and more.
Her mother, Queen Maxima, opted for a golden tweed jumpsuit with a matching jacket. Over the course of their day, Amalia and Maxima met with different prominent figures, among them Gates, Michael Bloomberg, and more.
In images captured by photographers, Amalia is seen meeting Gates, shaking his hand as her mother made the necessary introductions.
A great learning experience for the Princess
The Princess of Orange has had a great learning experience over the past week in the country. Through various meetings in Washington D.C. and New York, she's shadowed her mother and learned as the Queen met up with the heads of various banks and nations and carried out her duties. The Princess was photographed listening attentively, always holding on to her notes.
It marks the start of various official trips for the Princess. This fall, she'll be traveling with her parents to attend the abdication ceremony of Henri, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. That ceremony will be followed by the swearing-in ceremony of Guillaume, the country's next Grand Duke.
