Who could have predicted that Lady Eliza Spencer's Santorini vacation would become a pivotal moment? What was meant to be a few relaxing days on the Greek island turned into an experience she’ll never forget. With the stunning Aegean Sea as the backdrop, she got engaged to Channing Millerd, who surprised her with a diamond ring and a proposal that only had one answer: a big yes. After nine years together, Princess Diana’s niece and the tech executive are getting ready to say “I do” in what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest weddings of the season.

The reactions came quickly, with dozens of congratulations pouring in. The most emotional message came from Lady Amelia Spencer, Eliza’s twin: “The best news everrrrrrrr," Amelia wrote. "I couldn’t be happier for you both! The BEST NEWS IN THE WORLD. I love you both with all my heart! The perfect couple and dream engagement."

Leonie Hanne, Ella Bleu Travolta, and Cristina Reyes are just a few of the friends who sent their warm wishes for this new chapter.

In an exclusive ¡HOLA! feature this past spring, Eliza—daughter of Earl Spencer—had already revealed that marriage was something they’d talked about: “It’s a beautiful idea for the future. But right now, we’re enjoying our journey together, supporting each other in our careers and personal growth. When the time comes, it will be incredibly special. For now, we’re just cherishing every moment we share.”

She also spoke about possible wedding locations—words that now carry even more meaning. "We love the idea of a destination wedding," she said. "We feel drawn to Italy, especially somewhere by the ocean—that feels so romantic to us. Spain has that same coastal charm we adore," she said.

The one who introduced them was Greg Mallett, Lady Amelia Spencer’s husband. “He had a feeling we’d be the perfect match, and he was right.” He arranged a dinner in South Africa, and they clicked instantly. They became inseparable, and from the very beginning, the model knew Channing was the one she wanted to spend her life with.

“We have a powerful, loving, and supportive relationship. He’s my best friend. We understand each other deeply, and no matter what, we’re always there for one another. I’m sure he’s the one—our bond is built on trust, laughter, and shared values,” she said about the entrepreneur.
