Natasha Archer is leaving the Prince and Princess of Wales' household. PEOPLE reported on Wednesday that Catherine's "right-hand woman" is leaving her role to set up her own private consultancy. The magazine noted that it understands the Waleses' household has wished Natasha "the very best for the exciting opportunities ahead."
According to her LinkedIn, Natasha began working as a personal assistant to the then-Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in August of 2010. She was then promoted to senior private executive assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales in August of 2022, with clothing, diary and projects listed in her job description.
Natasha was made a Member of the Royal Victorian Order in 2019. Prince William presided over the investiture ceremony held at Buckingham Palace. The Royal Victorian Order is awarded in recognition of distinguished service to the Monarch and members of the Royal Family, per the Central Chancery. Natasha's husband, royal photographer Chris Jackson, celebrated, writing on Instagram: "Could not be more proud of this one! - forcing her to wear it through lunch! #MVO."
Following the Princess of Wales' major abdominal surgery in January of 2024, Natasha was spotted leaving the London Clinic. In June of 2024, the Daily Mail reported Natasha's promotion to senior private executive assistant, writing that "Ms Archer's promotion follows reports that she personally collected The Princess of Wales from the London Clinic after her abdominal operation earlier this year." A source is said to have shared that Natasha "has been dedicated to her employer. She has been inseparable from Kate in recent months, often assisting her as she travels to and from hospital appointments."
A source also told the Daily Mail at the time: "Natasha deserves this boost – she's unfailingly discreet and loyal to Kate. The salary boost will be welcome too. This appointment means we can expect to see Natasha by Kate's side for years to come," adding, "It seems to be Kate's way of thanking her for her loyalty."
Prior to working for Prince William and Catherine, Natasha worked in the private office of the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester from August 2007 until August 2010.
