Say cheese! The Dutch royal family came together for their annual summer photo session on Monday. The Netherlands' Queen Maxima, King Willem-Alexander and their three daughters, Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane, were all smiles as they posed for pictures in the garden of Huis ten Bosch Palace, joined by their dog, Mambo.

Maxima wore a chic printed midi dress from Zimmermann, while her daughter Alexia, who celebrated her 20th birthday last week, looked effortlessly stylish in a green maxi dress. Amalia, 21, complemented her sister, wearing a green printed puff sleeve blouse, which she teamed with white jeans and Celine sunglasses. Ariane, 18, also opted for pants, sporting striped trousers with a matching vest and black tank.

The royal couple's youngest child towered over her older sisters as they smiled for the cameras. Per AD, Amalia remarked that Ariane, who graduated from UWC Adriatic in May, grew during her time in Italy. "Now she is suddenly a grown woman," the Princess of Orange said (translated to English).

Alexia described her little sister as "one of the sweetest girls" she knows, calling Ariane "so gentle and smart." During the photo session, Amalia shared that she and her siblings "argue sometimes." “About who gets the remote control, or who chooses the movie," she said.

Maxima pointed out, “No family is perfect. Ours isn’t either. But we always keep laughing together.”

The King, whose wife was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, also said, "The Latino family values are an extra incentive to really stay together. My wife brought that in. Family, you can't touch that as an outsider."

The royal family's photo session on June 30 was originally scheduled to take place on June 12, but was postponed following Amalia's surgery. The Princess of Orange fell from her horse on June 10 and underwent surgery that evening for a "fracture in her upper arm."

Eight days after her surgery, Amalia visited the Prince Bernhard Barracks in Amersfoort with her father, and last week attended a dinner at Huis ten Bosch Palace for heads of state and government leaders who were attending the 2025 NATO summit in The Hague, including President Donald Trump. Amalia admitted on Monday that it was "really cool" that she was able to meet "the president of America."
