Summer is here, and we’ve got Queen Letizia’s first look of the 2025 season. After a spring packed with new outfits and plenty of Spanish fashion, she kicks off summer in style. The King and Queen of Spain traveled to Barcelona this Monday for two very different events: the celebration of the millennium of the Monastery of Montserrat’s founding and a visit to Badia del Vallès to mark the 50th anniversary of the housing development that started the city’s history.
A belted denim dress
For the first Monday of summer, Queen Letizia brought back one of her most versatile dresses, the kind that works just as well for the office. Made from denim, the sleeveless design features a high neckline, midi length, subtle topstitching that mimics a pinstripe pattern, and a matching belt. It’s a Carolina Herrera piece she first wore on September 14, 2024, at the Retina ECO Awards ceremony. Until today, it had not made a second appearance.
The bag Princess Leonor debuted
To contrast the deep indigo of her denim dress, Queen Letizia went with bold red accessories. She opted for a vegan leather bag by Olivia Mareque, a style she has previously worn. She last wore the clutch-style or crossbody bag during Spain's National Day in 2024. But she wasn’t the first to carry it. The bag originally debuted with Princess Leonor on her first solo official trip abroad, on July 12, 2024, when she visited Portugal.
Queen Letizia's new summer pieces
The Queen did not just recycle today. Her look also included the first new additions to her summer wardrobe. Letizia stepped out in a fresh pair of red heels with a five-centimeter heel. They are the Paula Babies model by Sézane, priced at around 167 US dollars. She also owns them in black and in a two-tone version. Another new touch was her earrings. With a geometric cascading design, they are gold-plated silver pieces by Pertegaz, priced at about 94 US dollars.
