Margot Robbie poses in sheer gown with exposed corsetry and rope-like detailing at 'Wuthering Heights' premiere

Margot Robbie saved one of her most daring press tour looks for London. On a rain-soaked black carpet in Leicester Square, the actress arrived at the 'Wuthering Heights' UK premiere on Thursday night wearing a sheer, corseted gown that pushed her darkly romantic wardrobe into provocative new territory.

The look, a custom variation from Dilara Fındıkoğlu’s fall 2025 ready-to-wear collection, which debuted during London Fashion Week in February 2025, leaned heavily into Gothic sensuality.

The gown featured exposed corsetry and boning beneath layers of translucent nude mesh, punctuated by green embroidery, plumage, and rope-like embellishments that formed a symmetrical pattern across the bodice and down the skirt.

Elordi opted for a tailored all-grey ensemble at earlier appearances, later switching to a sharp dark green suit for the London premiere.

The detailing evoked a bondage-inspired motif, wrapping the silhouette in knotted trims and structured lines before cascading into an A-line skirt with a dramatic train.

Robbie accessorized with a thick choker necklace that echoed the green embroidery and statement earrings by Jessica McCormack. Her glam followed suit, including old brows, shadowy eyes, and a glossy neutral lip, while her hair was styled in soft curls and wisps framing her face.

The appearance marked a notable evolution in Robbie’s 'Wuthering Heights' press tour wardrobe, which she previously hinted would “evolve” throughout the promotional run.

The pair posed closely throughout the evening, laughing, embracing, and sheltering from the rain beneath umbrellas as photographers captured their chemistry.

Robbie’s fashion choices throughout the tour have drawn inspiration directly from the film’s period setting. The actress has consistently leaned into Georgian- and Victorian-inspired silhouettes while promoting Emerald Fennell’s adaptation of Emily Brontë’s 1847 novel, a strategy reminiscent of her character-driven 'Barbie' press tour in 2023.

Directed by Fennell, 'Wuthering Heights' chronicles the turbulent relationship between Catherine Earnshaw (Robbie) and Heathcliff (Elordi), reimagining Brontë’s classic through a heightened, sensual lens. The film arrives in theaters on Feb. 13.

Speaking to People, Robbie reflected on the emotional intensity of the role, explaining, “No different to all the other scenes that we do. The movie kind of demands a lot of all of us.

My character essentially cries in every single scene, but no, it was a joy. I loved playing a character who kind of swings from one wild emotion to the other in an instant.”

Fennell, who both wrote and directed the film, emphasized that intimacy scenes were approached with care and trust. “It's always just about making sure everyone feels super comfortable and we all are, really. We trust each other and so we try to kind of make it funny and laugh everything off. But love scenes are just the same as any other scene, really. And so we just approach it from an emotional point of view.”

With each red carpet appearance, Robbie continues to blur the line between character and couture, and in London, her sheer, rope-detailed corset gown may be her boldest chapter yet.
