The 2025 Fashion Trust Arabia Awards, held at the National Museum of Qatar, have once again confirmed their status as one of the most influential gatherings in international fashion.
The seventh edition brought together major industry figures. From Lifetime Achievement Award honouree Miuccia Prada to Anna Wintour, Daniel Roseberry, Gisele Bündchen, and Tyra Banks, for an evening that celebrated emerging talent and strengthened Doha’s position as a dynamic creative hub.
In this exceptional setting, Georgina Rodríguez, one of the night’s most high-profile guests, stole the spotlight with a look that breaks entirely from her usual maximalism and featured a vintage Azzedine Alaïa dress from 1993, a historic piece that has become, without a doubt, the most elegant and unexpected look she has worn to date.
Far from the opulent and exuberant aesthetic that usually defines her style, Georgina embraced the power of “less is more.” Her choice was a long black chenille-knit dress from Alaïa’s Fall/Winter 1993 collection, created by one of the designers who best understood the female body in the 1990s.
