As 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' closes the chapter on its third season, star Lola Tung has made one thing abundantly clear, she’s stepping into her post-Belly era with confidence, and Paris was her runway.
For the much-anticipated season 3 finale celebration, Tung turned the City of Light into a jaw-dropping look. Arriving in a dazzling disco-inspired mini by Blumarine, she paid homage to the nostalgic charm of the early 2000s.
The nude stretch dress was covered in translucent beading and fringe, creating a sense of fluidity and sparkle with every step she took. She paired her shimmering dress with a blush-toned east-west shoulder bag from Charles & Keith and silver heels.
She also wore delicate pendant earrings and shield-style sunglasses. But before the fun disco moment, Tung had already turned heads at a photo call hosted at the Shangri-La Hotel. For this event, she chose a vintage Kaufmanfranco gown from the brand’s fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection, a rare piece once worn by Miranda Kerr to the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.
Featuring a plunging neckline, column skirt, and nearly backless silhouette with halter straps, the silver gown brought a sleek, sculptural edge. The look was carefully curated by stylist Britt McCamey, with minimalist accessories including custom Frank Darling rings and diamond pendant earrings.
Hairstylist Dana Boyer styled Tung’s straight hair with a center part and auburn undertones, while Misha Shahzada’s glowing, petal-pink makeup added a soft contrast to the bold ensemble.
Tung later joined her TSITP castmates, including Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Sean Kaufman, Rachel Blanchard, Jackie Chung, and Rain Spencer, for a photoshoot in front of the Eiffel Tower. Jenny Han, author and showrunner of the series, also appeared for the emotional wrap-up.
Earlier in the day, Tung had also been spotted channeling full-on femme fatale energy. She stepped out in an all-black scoop-neck Courrèges minidress paired with thigh-high leather boots, an outfit worlds away from her on-screen persona.
Completing the edgy vibe were Givenchy dagger earrings, Phoebe Philo sunglasses, and a brown suede gunmetal Hammitt bag. With this sleek look, Tung was clearly signaling a shift, from beachy coming-of-age star to a serious style contender with range.
With all three seasons of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' now streaming on Prime Video, and a follow-up film just announced, fans may not have seen the last of Belly. But for Lola Tung, the road ahead is full of fresh opportunities.
She’s already lined up a lead role in the upcoming horror film 'Forbidden Fruits,' where she’ll appear alongside Lili Reinhart, Alexandra Shipp, Gabrielle Union, Victoria Pedretti, and Emma Chamberlain. Tung will also star in 'The Young People,' directed by 'Longlegs' filmmaker Oz Perkins and co-starring Nico Parker.
