Katie Holmes wore one of the most memorable outfits at a recent New York Fashion Week event. The city icon and great source of fashion inspiration was one of the guests at the FFORME Spring/Summer 2026 show, wearing a stunning red look that's the polar opposite of the types of outfits she wears in her everyday life while she's spotted carrying out errands in the city.
Holmes picked red as her color that evening, wearing a stunning gown paired with red accessories and makeup. Holmes wore a long-sleeved red gown with a mockneck, a fitted bodice, and a skirt with some pleats. She paired the dress with a matching sleeveless and floor-length vest, adding some texture to the look due to the shift in fabric.
Rounding out the look were her red leather ballet flats and her bold makeup, made up of red lipstick and a muted blush on her cheeks. She styled her hair long and wavy, and completed her look with discreet jewelry, allowing red to be the star of the evening.
Holmes sat in the show's front row alongside the entrepreneur Gabriela Khalil, who also wore red for the occasion.
Holmes is getting ready for the Fall fashion season
Holmes remains one of the most important New York figures during Fashion Week, getting invitations to some of the most exclusive events. Last week, Holmes showcased a perfect Fall look at Veronica Beard's Icons Party, where she partied alongside Natasha Lyonne, her co-star of the second season of "Poker Face."
For the occasion, Holmes wore some light-wash jeans with a black turtleneck and a navy blue jacket with some floral details down the arms. She rounded out the look with a black purse that she hung around one arm and styled her hair in a long braid.
She rounded out the look with kitten-heeled boots and some eye-catching jewelry, including some long earrings.
It's a look that's similar to Holmes' ethos when it comes to fashion: "Wear what you feel comfortable with, and be confident in yourself, and know that what you like is enough, and you look great, and own it," she said in an interview with Elle.
