Angelina Jolie brought pure Hollywood glamour to the 78th Cannes Film Festival on Friday evening, looking stunning as she stepped onto the red carpet for the premiere of 'Eddington.' Although she doesn't star in the film, the actress and director made a dazzling entrance and stole the show with her ensemble.
Wearing a luminous strapless gown in soft champagne tones by Brunello Cucinelli, Angelina turned heads in the elegant piece, pulled from the label’s Fall/Winter 2025 ready-to-wear collection.
The gown featured a woven knit pattern adorned with shimmering sequins and a full, flowing skirt that accentuated her silhouette. She kept her styling simple yet sophisticated, opting for nude heels and a delicate ensemble of white and yellow diamond jewelry, including drop earrings and a matching necklace.
Angelina's honey blonde hair was styled in loose waves and parted softly to the side. Her latest appearance marks her return to the international spotlight following a quieter awards season.
Her last major red carpet was at the Critics Choice Awards in February, where she wore a sheer golden-brown lace gown. Cannes Film Festival was, however, the perfect event for a dramatic and elevated fashion moment.
Angelina has a meaningful role at this year’s festival. As the newly appointed godmother of the Trophée Chopard Award, she is mentoring emerging talents Marie Colomb and Finn Bennett. The actress joined them and Chopard co-president Caroline Scheufele on the red carpet earlier in the evening.
“I am honored to be Godmother at the Cannes Film Festival. I am pleased to have a moment to recognize young artists and their exceptional work,” Angelina stated.
The 'Eddington' premiere itself was a major moment, bringing out many A-listers to the red carpet, including Emma Stone, Natalie Portman, Pedro Pascal, Joaquin Phoenix, Austin Butler, and Julia Garner.
Many are calling 'Eddington' one of the standout entries of the festival. The film is set for a wide release through A24 on July 18.
