Fallout (Prime Video)

It's a weird time of the year for new releases. Earlier in December, the second season of "Fallout" was released, with new episodes available every week. Season 2 follows our heroes deeper into the wasteland, with the showrunners introducing a batch of exciting new characters played by actors like Justin Theroux, Kumail Nanjiani, and more.

Stranger Things (Netflix)

Over the past month, Netflix has been doling out the final season of "Stranger Things." Whether you're a fan or not, spoilers for the series feel inescapable online, making it the perfect time to jump in and have a look at what everyone is talking about.

Together (Hulu)

"Together" is now streaming on Hulu. Trailing a long-term couple who move into the countryside, the film follows as their relationship begins to deteriorate, with their bodies beginning to merge as their dynamic crumbles.

When Harry Met Sally (Starz)

The New Year has started already, but it's never a bad time to watch "When Harry Met Sally," one of the best romantic comedies of all time. The movie follows Harry and Sally, two long-term friends who meet up with each other at different points in their lives.

Indiana Jones saga (Disney+)

The full "Indiana Jones" series is streaming on Disney, making it the perfect lazy weekend binge as you gear up to start the new year feeling energized and like anything is possible.

Erin Brokovich (Netflix)

"Erin Brokovich" was also recently added to Netflix. Perhaps representing Julia Roberts' most emblematic role, the Steven Soderbergh movie follows the true story of Brokovich, the woman responsible for initiating a legal case against an electric company responsible for poisoning the water of an entire town.

Dune (HBO Max)

Lastly, the "Dune" films are streaming on HBO Max. Impressive in scale and in the handling of its source material, the "Dune" movies are scheduled to conclude next December, with the third part of the trilogy sharing the end of Paul Atreides' story. Over the past year, Timothee Chalamet has been shooting the project, shaving his head and seeming very excited and committed about the story's conclusion. As one of the leading movie stars who might be in the running for awards for his work in "Marty Supreme," it's a perfect time to revisit one of his most famous roles.
