Now, as Season 4 prepares to unfold, it is rumored to be set in France, speculation about new casting has only intensified.

Christopher Briney is setting his sights on an ambitious new chapter in his rising career. Fresh off his success as Conrad Fisher in 'The Summer I Turned Pretty,' the 27-year-old actor has voiced his interest in taking on a much darker, more complex role on none other than HBO’s acclaimed series 'The White Lotus.'

“I think it would be incredible to be part of The White Lotus,” Briney said in a recent interview with The Express Tribune, praising the show’s “sharp writing, complex characters, and dark humor.”

The series, created by Mike White, has become a magnet for award recognition and high-profile talent. With each season set in a new exotic location and featuring a fresh ensemble cast, 'The White Lotus' is known for dissecting privilege, power, and human vulnerability, wrapped in stunning cinematography and razor-sharp dialogue.

So far, the show has taken viewers from Hawaii to Italy and, most recently, Thailand. Now, as Season 4 prepares to unfold, it is rumored to be set in France, speculation about new casting has only intensified.

Though HBO has not announced its Season 4 lineup, Briney’s name continues to pop up across fan threads and entertainment news alike. Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sam Nivola, and Sarah Catherine Hook were among the new faces welcomed in Season 3, and if social media talk is any indication, viewers are more than ready to see Briney step into the series’ world of luxury, secrets, and slow-burn breakdowns.

The contrast between the two shows is striking. 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' thrives on nostalgia and emotional discovery. It’s soft and wistful, where summer feels endless and emotions rule the screen. 'The White Lotus,' on the other hand, twists those rom-com aesthetics into psychological drama.

“The message I hope listeners take away [from this story] is to not shy away from the scary things. I think that’s a big part of the narrative—just accepting that the things you feel are real. Love can feel dangerous, but it’s always worth the risk," he said about his recent projects during an interview with Cosmopolitan.

Following the whirlwind success of 'The Summer I Turned Pretty,' Briney is taking a creative leap into audio drama with 'Hidden Harbor.' The story centers on River, a bartender and surfer who returns to his hometown every summer. There, he meets Drea, a newcomer navigating a recent breakup. Their instant chemistry soon gets complicated when Drea discovers that her ex is River’s older brother.

“There was some nervous excitement… It’s not something I’ve done before, but it was a welcome challenge and I’m excited for people to hear it,” Briney said. “The emphasis that they place on female-driven stories,” he said, “was central to [his] decision.”

“I think a lot of what we have digested for a long time is not that, you know? There’s a lot of male-driven and sort of loose stereotypes and loose morality sometimes, so it was exciting to read something that is quite the antithesis of that—something empowering. [Those kinds of stories] are overdue.”
