Danny Ramirez's career has experienced an incredible rise over the past couple of years. The actor is now starring in some of the biggest projects in Hollywood, including the TV show "The Last of Us" and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, where he's taken over the role of the hero, The Falcon. Now, as he launches his production company, he's getting ready to take on his dream role.

Ramirez is a part of some of the most exciting franchises, the MCU and The Last of Us

Ramirez and his college friend Tom Culliver launched their production company, Pinstripes, last year. The two have just released their first film at the Toronto International Film Festival, where they discussed their dream project.

"One of the larger pieces of IP that we’re adapting at the minute is Scarface," said Culliver to Deadline. "Obviously, Danny will play Scarface. We want to modernize it, adapting the original novel."

Culliver and Ramirez are working on adapting the original story, reinventing the story, and coping with Al Pacino's legacy. "Obviously, there’s the Pacino legacy of it from the ’80s and then the original 1932 movie, but I think it’s ripe for modernizing, and to have someone like Danny in the lead is really exciting," he said.

He's also dating Jessica Alba

According to the pair, Pinstripes is all about reinvention and delivering films that are different from the norm. "You don’t want to do stuff where you’re just remaking stuff for remakes’ sake," he said.

For his part, Ramirez seems thrilled by the challenge of taking on such an iconic story. "Scarface, to us, is the one that it’s been a dream role to play, but also to develop it in a way that I understand it. I think in 2025, it’s more relevant now than ever. So that’s where we’re excited to take this on," he said.

Ramirez has been starring in films and shows since 2015. As he gets more settled in his work, he's developed a passion for storytelling on top of his acting work and is planning on directing his first feature film next year.

The movie is called "Baton," and is a sports drama written, directed, and starring Ramirez, following a soccer player who's pursuing a dream of playing professionally and dealing with complicated family dynamics. David Beckham has signed on to produce, making it one of the most exciting projects to come out within the next years.
