Based on the beloved novel of the same name, published in 1977 by Jorge Ibargüengoitia, one of the most notorious Mexican authors over the past century. The series is based on the real-life story of the González Valenzuela sisters, who were accused in the '60s of various crimes.

"Las Muertas" follows sisters Arcángela and Serafina Baladro, who built and successfully ran an empire of brothels in the '60s and were ultimately accused and remembered as some of Mexico's most notorious and feared serial killers. The series is a fictional account of their lives, embracing a satirical tone that's apparent from the trailer and the images that were first released.

The series is made up of six episodes and was shot in various stunning locations across Mexico, including San Luis Potosí, Veracruz, Guanajuato, and more.
