Rumi Carter is having her moment, and fans are loving it. In a sweet Instagram video from the Cowboy Carter Tour stop in Atlanta, shared by grandma Tina Knowles, the seven-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z twirls onto the stage in matching red, like she was born for it!
Knowles has revealed how much Rumi Carter has grown in confidence during her mother Beyoncé's "Cowboy Carter" Tour. Joining her mom and big sister Blue Ivy during the Cowboy Carter Tour, Rumi waves to the crowd, mouths "I love you," and melts hearts in real time.
Beyoncé, beaming, calls out: "Give it up for Rumi!", and the crowd quickly bursts into applause for her.
Tina, 71, proudly captioned the clip: "My grandbaby girl Rumi in Red ❤️."
And this isn't just a one-time cameo. According to Tina, Rumi's been itching to join her superstar mom onstage for years.
Speaking to ELLE UK, Tina shared, "She wanted to experience it, too. And so Beyoncés is allowing her to do it this time. And I'm really happy about it, because she has fun out there. She gets to be a kid, and when she gets offstage, she's right back to being Rumi, the little kid, you know, the little seven-year-old, adorable."
"Rumi, for the last tour, just every day, said, 'I want to go out there. I want to.'"
Tina also confirmed what fans have suspected: Rumi's been studying her big sister's every move. "The way she watches Blue and mirrors her every move … you can tell she's taking notes."
Knowles continues, "She doesn't just want to join the legacy…she wants to SLAY it too! Rumi said on last tour that she was ready to hit the stage. She learned choreography and was ready. I'm so happy to see her on stage with her mommy and her sister. She really did straight out there. One day she's gonna cut loose and walk down the runway one day, you watch!!"
"Rumi is also a great songwriter already! She will be a force to be reckoned with, just wait!"
