The Peltz-Beckham drama has been nonstop, and while David and Victoria have stayed quiet on the situation, her dad, Nelson, was put on the spot during a recent Q&A. While the tension seems to be between Nicola, Brooklyn, and the Beckham family, the Peltz patriarch couldn't avoid the situation any longer.
During a Q&A at the WSJ Invest Live event in West Palm Beach this week, the 83-year-old billionaire was asked if there's any advice he's given his family amid the headlines Nicola has been making. “Has my family been in the press lately? I haven’t noticed at all," he joked.
Nelson then shared his piece of advice: “My advice is to stay the hell out of the press,” he said, before quickly drawing a line. “My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story, and that’s not for coverage here today.”
What he did make clear, though, was where he stands with his son-in-law. While Brooklyn claimed in his shocking statement that his parents have been trying to break him and Nicola up for some time, the businessman sees them going the distance. “My daughter is great, my son-in-law, Brooklyn, is great, and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together," he said.
Billionaire baby?
Amid the drama, Nicola and her dad made headlines last month after a podcast host claimed that her father gives her a $1 million monthly allowance. It quickly sparked side-eye across social media, but according to Page Six, that number is “100%” false, with a source calling it a completely fabricated rumor made up “from thin air.”
They also claimed that Nelson allegedly questioned why Brooklyn wasn’t being funded the same way.

That support comes after Brooklyn's scathing Instagram statement saying he had no interest in reconciling with his family, accusing them of trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola. He also made the explosive claim that Victoria danced “inappropriately” with him at his 2022 wedding, a detail that sent the internet into full chaos mode.
A day later, David appeared on CNBC’s Squawk Box, where he discussed social media and its impact on kids. While he didn’t address the family situation directly, his comments about making mistakes felt pointed. “The bad we’ve talked about with what kids can access these days—it can be dangerous,” he said. “But what I have found personally, especially with my kids as well, [is to] use it for the right reasons."
He continued, “And I have tried to do the same with my children, to educate them. They make mistakes, but children are allowed to make mistakes. That is how they learn.”
While Brooklyn made it clear he does not want to reconcile, a source told PEOPLE the famous couple still wants their son back. “David and Victoria love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son,” a source told PEOPLE, “They would take him back in a minute.”
