The long-awaited debut of Oriana Sabatini and Paulo Dybala as parents is just around the corner, and the couple couldn’t be more excited. Last September, after just over a year of marriage, the young couple announced that they would be welcoming a new member to their family, revealing that they were expecting a baby girl. Now, as she enters the final stretch of her pregnancy, the Argentine beauty has shared details about her baby’s upcoming birth, including where she plans to give birth and the name the little girl will have.
Recently, Oriana appeared as a guest on the Argentine digital program Resumido, where she opened up about several aspects of her pregnancy. “I’d be lying if I told you I’m doing well,” confessed the daughter of Catherine Fulop, revealing that she has experienced intense symptoms during her pregnancy beyond nausea and dizziness. “It’s chronic pain, and no one warned me this was going to happen,” explained Sabatini, whose delivery is expected to take place in the first half of March.
Despite the challenges she has faced throughout this process, the actress and podcaster is extremely excited about her baby’s arrival and has already begun preparing for the birth. “She’s going to be born here,” she said, referring to Italy, where she has lived for years with Paulo, who plays for AS Roma. “Mainly because I want to have a natural birth, if that’s possible, of course. And second, because I want the father to be there,” she explained.
Expanding on the reasons why they apparently ruled out Argentina as the birthplace, Oriana mentioned the demanding schedule her husband has as a professional soccer player. “In football, there aren’t many days off, and the players usually have vacations in June or July. So it was like, ‘I have to have her here.’ I want to have her here as well so the father of this girl can be present,” the mom-to-be added.
“It was really hard for me to come to terms with that idea, because you plan the birth and dream about it, you think about what you want for that day… and it’s hard. It’s hard to feel comfortable or get used to the idea that there will be people who don’t speak your language, that I’ll be pushing and translating in my head what they’re telling me,” Oriana admitted about the decision to have her daughter outside her native Argentina.
Oriana chose her daughter’s name and only told Paulo
With the countdown already underway for the birth of their baby, Oriana Sabatini and Paulo Dybala have already decided on the name their first child will have, although they seem to prefer keeping it private for now. “The name is decided, but I’m not going to say it,” the actress said on Resumido, adding an air of mystery to the final weeks of her pregnancy.
However, Oriana did share how she arrived at her choice. “It’s a name I’ve loved since I was 15, basically. And I said, ‘If one day I have a daughter, I’d like her to be called this.’ I didn’t forget about it, but it stayed in the back of my mind. When they told me it was a girl, it was like, ‘Obviously, I can’t give her any other name,’” she explained. She also revealed that Paulo was simply informed of the decision: “I told him what her name was going to be, I didn’t ask him. We love men and all, but I’m the one carrying the baby.”
