The next generation of celebrity kids is growing up right before our eyes. Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon's 14-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan joined Instagram in 2024 and have been sharing glimpses into their lives. This weekend, they shared photobooth snaps, and in the comments, North West hyped up Monroe.
Monroe posed in the pics in front of a red background with the caption "Cherry red." She had over two hundred comments, with the top liked one being a sweet compliment from North, who said she missed her, "ur sooo prettyyyy imu," the 12-year-old wrote.
North and Monroe have linked up in the past with their famous moms. They went viral in 2023, filming a TikTok together with the mini-mes, hilariously pushing their famous moms out of frame.
North doesn't follow Moroccan, but he does follow her. The daughter of Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, only follows 27 people.
Along with North, Moroccan was also in Monroe's comments. "My twin," he wrote. He also quipped that her photos were better than the ones he shared, "You mogged me."
Monroe made sure to reciprocate the love in her brother's post. He shared a gallery of his photobooth snaps wearing a black hoodie and a couple of star-shaped pimple patches on his face. "You ate!" she commented. She also pointed out his striking resemblance to their dad. "Wait, why is it giving dad a lookalike?" she wrote. Her comment received over 2k likes, with another person writing, "Nick Cannon when he was in Drumline."
Monroe and Morrocan are Mariah's only children, and Nick's oldest. Nick famously welcomed 12 children, 11 of whom are still living with 6 different women.
While their lives have been relatively private, Monroe made headlines in November after she took to Instagram saying she only has 1 brother. "Clearing something up, guys, I only have ONE brother who is @moroccan.cannon," she wrote. "I do have other half-siblings from my dad, but they are all many, many years younger than me!"
It's not totally clear what she meant by the statement, but they do seem to have a relationship with their half-siblings. In his New Year's post, Morrocan shared a gallery of photos from the snow, which included a snap of his little brother, Legendary Love Cannon. Nick shares the three-year-old with Bre Tiesi.
Another snap included a photo of Nick, Tiesi, and Legendary in the snow, so it seems like they all went as a family.
Plus, in December, after Monroe's comment went viral, Nicks shared a photo of them with some of his other children.
