The Beckham family drama has been making non-stop headlines with no signs of reconciliation. With cryptic social media posts coming from Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz, and "sources" talking to various outlets, it's been a puzzle trying to put all the pieces together, with fans taking sides.
Last week, it was reported that the famous parents have been trying to make amends with their oldest son and daughter-in-law. An insider told PEOPLE they have "repeatedly" asked them to "meet and talk to move forward."
The insider said they've also been inviting them to all the events, like David's knighting in October. "They have always been invited to all family occasions or events, whether private or public," the source said.
However, there are always two sides to every story, and the young couple seems to have a different truth. An insider told PEOPLE, "The claim that theyve been invited to 'all events' and that David and Victoria have made honest efforts to mend things is untrue." They went on to claim that neither "David nor Victoria has reached out to Nicola in almost a year."
Their social media has been telling a story
The family drama has been a public spectacle, given how close the Beckham family has always been. Things got so bad that Brooklyn even blocked his parents. According to The Sun, the 26-year-old allegedly sent them a legal notice stating that he can only contact them through lawyers, with rules about social media activity. They claim that Victoria liked one of his posts as a breach, which is why Brooklyn hit the block button.
His brother Cruz confirmed he did so when there was a story going around that David and Victoria unfollowed Brooklyn. "My mum and dad would never unfollow their son … Let's get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as was I." Brooklyn has also reportedly blocked his siblings.
Plus, Nicole recently scrubbed the Beckham family from her Instagram and reportedly deleted every post with them, including a birthday message Victoria had once sent.
When they missed Holly Ramsay's wedding, fans also considered Nicola's post about staying at home a subtle dig at the situation. Brooklyn used to be very close to the family.
From the reports, it seems David and Victoria have been saddened by the situation. A source close to the Beckhams recently told our sister brand HELLO!, "It's just very sad and impossible to understand."
The couple's social media accounts have been flooded with comments telling Brooklyn to make up with his parents or blaming Nicola.
A feud waiting to happen
The feud has gone on for years, seemingly going back to their wedding in 2022.
There have been some incredible rumors about their wedding, like one about Marc Anthony. “Brooklyn and Nicola were under the impression they were being gifted their first dance by Marc Anthony,” a source told E! News.
But when it came time, the Salsero announced, "‘Please welcome to the stage the most beautiful woman in the room…Victoria Beckham." Nicola reportedly left in tears.
Plus, there was all the drama about her wedding dress. Needless to say, the family doesn't seem to be making up any time soon.
