On Wednesday, the model and entrepreneur spent the day in Hollywood shopping for antiques at La Maison Francaise Antiques. They kept up the energy and good vibes, grabbing coffee at the Architecture Bookstore Café.

He told The Gloss he spent a lot of time in Toronto, Canada, and then finished high school in New York. He studied business at Ryerson University in Toronto, then left college to play professional basketball.
After that, "it really worked out," he quit and went to art school in Stockholm, getting his degree in fine arts. "I did painting and sculpture, history, photography, and a few different things. I really got into painting—acrylics—so that was what I was thinking when I graduated. Then I met a perfumer for the first time," he told the outlet.
That would be the start of everything. He used his art background and a simplistic approach, using fewer raw materials to create emotional ideas tied to places, people, and collective memory.
He started by making candles in his kitchen after perfumes proved too complex to manufacture, which organically grew into the Byredo brand. He challenged the traditional, hierarchical French perfume industry with a stripped-back, Swedish-inspired ethos, creating bold, polarizing scents like M/MINK and deeply personal ones inspired by his parents and childhood.
Now it's become a cult favorite and a global name, loved by celebrities and fashion insiders. Known for his sleek aesthetic and discreet personal life, Gorham rarely makes headlines for anything other than his perfumes.
