Georgina Rodríguez and Cristiano Ronaldo announced their engagement after nine years together and five children, three boys from the soccer star and two girls from their relationship.
The news, as surprising as it was eagerly awaited, was shared by the model and influencer while showing off her fabulous engagement ring, a massive oval-cut diamond, valued at over six million euros, flanked by smaller triangle-cut diamonds on each side.
She spoke in detail about it in a recent interview with Elle Spain. “The engagement ring is beautiful. It’s the least he could offer me after ten years of waiting (laughs). Honestly, when he proposed, it was the last thing on my mind."
She continued, "I took a long time to process the incredible piece he gave me. I was so shocked that I left it in my room and didn’t open it in the sunlight until the next day."
The model opened her heart and spoke like never before about the love she feels for Cristiano Ronaldo after almost a decade together and having built a beautiful, large family with the athlete.
“The love Cristiano and I share keeps growing," she said, "It’s something that changes, adapts, and strengthens in every stage,” the model, who won over one of the world’s top footballers in 2016, explained.
Regarding her family, she admits that it is her main priority. “It’s the dream I’ve had since I was a little girl. I come from a very small family, my mother, my sister, and me, so I always knew I wanted a big family in the future. Thanks to God, I enjoy it today."
She also talked about the possibility of "expanding" the family. "I’m very young, and whatever comes next will be decided by God," the model added.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s future wife says she considers herself a romantic who loves classical music. “I bathe my children and put them to bed with it.” As for fame, she is one of the most influential Spaniards in the world, with over 70 million followers on Instagram and more than 18 million on TikTok.
“I have never felt more famous than Cristiano. It really took me time to start feeling like a famous person. It didn’t happen overnight. Even now, I’m still amazed to see myself on screens around the world, and I feel I will never get used to it, because I was born unknown,” she revealed.
At 31, Georgina describes her personality as vibrant and energetic. “I’m a whirlwind that never stops. Having help doesn’t mean I don’t have responsibilities. Between my large family, my professional projects, and my new company," she continued, I am never still. But I love being so active. I feel very lucky.”
