Zoe Saldaña dressed appropriately for her new film, "Avatar: Fire & Ash." The actress made a red carpet appearance with a sultry green gown with a high slit that became one of the evening's most memorable outfits.
Saldaña kicked off the Avatar press tour with a stunning Saint Laurent look. At the premiere in Los Angeles, Saldaña wore a green gown that made her look like a warrior princess, with the fabric draping over her body and being held together by a small strip of fabric.
The dress' cut showcased her muscles and her torso, featuring a thigh slit with a perfect drape. She styled her hair straight and completed the look with some jewelry, including some rings and bracelets.
Her look was completed with thin and black strappy heels.
Saldana's experience promoting a film she shot many years ago
While "Avatar: Fire & Ash" is coming out this month, the film was actually shot between the years 2017 and 2019. Director James Cameron explained that he filmed his last two "Avatar" movies back to back in order to prevent the child actors from growing up too much in between releases.
"I think that the hardest part, and many fans can relate with this, is I hate having to wait so many years for the stories to come out because I really do personally enjoy them," said Saldaña in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "But I understand being behind the scenes, being backstage with the crew that’s led by James Cameron, just something so special takes time."
"And Jim is someone that… he’s just a relentless, curious mind, and he gets to share that curiosity with everyone that follows him, especially his crew and his team. So I get to feel very honored that I am a part of something that stands the test of time. And in a way, because we don’t have control of how much time it takes to make, it makes it even more precious. There’s something really special about it that is very humbling."
Over the past couple of days, Saldaña has been sharing her excitement over the release of "Fire & Ash" on her social media, sharing a video on December 1st set to Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas." The clip shows her getting out of bed, giggling with excitement as she prepares for the premiere of the film.
