Rosalía has been keeping fans on their toes ever since the release of LUX, her long-awaited album that she describes as “the result of a long, demanding, and deeply personal process.”
In a candid conversation on the COUCH podcast with Lena Mahfouf, better known as Lena Situations, the Spanish superstar revealed a rarely discussed reason behind the album’s delay, commenting on a brief romance that completely diverted her creative focus.
“When I finished the tour, I was seeing someone and remember feeling inspired to write them letters. I even watched Sorrentino films and wrote analyses for that person,” Rosalía shared, recounting a post-tour period that pulled her away from her music.
But as her romantic energy grew, so did the realization that her focus had shifted too far. “And then I remember thinking, ‘Wait, why am I doing all this for someone else? I should be working on my album, working on myself.’”
The timing and details of Rosalía’s comments have fueled speculation that the Catalan singer is referring to her short-lived relationship with Jeremy Allen White, best known for his breakout role in 'The Bear.'
Though neither officially confirmed the romance, their public outings and candid moments suggested a connection between late 2023 and mid-2024.
Fans even pointed to photographs showing Jeremy holding a letter labeled “FOR JEREMY,” seemingly confirming fan theories.
For both, the romance followed high-profile breakups. Jeremy had recently divorced actress Addison Timlin, and Rosalía had ended her engagement to singer Rauw Alejandro.

“They didn’t start hanging out romantically until a few weeks ago,” a source told People. “She spends time at his house. They go on lunch dates and seem to have a great time. They’re affectionate, often in deep conversations, and seem curious to get to know each other better.”
