The Beckhams can’t catch a break. After months of tension surrounding their son, Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, David and Victoria now face another issue. Their youngest son, 20-year-old Cruz, had his driver’s license revoked following multiple traffic violations.
According to various reports, Cruz received his second speeding ticket in the two years since he passed his driving test. This latest infraction led to the suspension of his license on September 2. Cruz was driving 24 mph in a 20 mph zone.
The license revocation comes two years after Cruz passed his driving exam in September 2023 and shared celebratory photos from a McDonald’s drive-through trip on social media. “Well done, mate, love you,” his father wrote at the time. Since then, Cruz has invested in several luxury cars, including a black Porsche 911 valued at $197,500, a Land Rover, and a vintage 1980s Mercedes.
For luxury car owners who lose their licenses, insurance premiums can skyrocket after retaking the test, adding some financial repercussions.
This news comes weeks after David Beckham was knighted by King Charles III—the highest honor a British citizen can receive within the Order of the British Empire, founded by King George V in 1917.
An Aspiring Musician
Over the past few months, Cruz has been hinting at the start of a new musical chapter, with his social media becoming a place where he shared clues and images building up his rocker persona. In late October, Cruz released his first two singles as a singer, titled "Optics" and "Lick the Toad."
All the secrecy surrounding this new chapter for Cruz stems from the criticism he’s faced as one of the most prominent nepo babies, and his desire to steer clear of that label. "The reason for the secrecy is that he wants to be judged on his musical abilities, not on his family name. He certainly doesn't want people who just attend in the hopes of seeing his mum or dad," said a source to The Daily Mail.
Cruz began dropping hints about his musical debut back in April, when he posted a cartoon frog on Instagram. In the following months, he shared photos and videos of his band rehearsals. Later, in the summer, Cruz gave fans a sneak peek of his new music, playing guitar in the back of a car. The 20-year-old musician has spent the past few months performing with his band at secret gigs across the UK.
