Henry Samuel is taking a moment to reflect on some of the standout milestones from his parents’ high-profile careers, just months after signing his own modeling contract.
While talking to People at the 2025 GQ Men of the Year Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 13, the 20-year-old opened up about the career moments that resonate most from both his mother Heidi Klum’s modeling legacy and his father Seal’s musical achievements.
"Definitely Victoria's Secret for my mom on the runway," he says of Klum, 52, referencing her more than a decade as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. "[In] the ’90s with Adriana Lima."
When it comes to Seal, Henry pointed to one performance in particular that stands out.
"Definitely when he was performing [a tribute] for Prince," he shares, noting the tribute to the "Purple Rain" icon, who passed away in 2016 at 57. "I would guess that's my favorite moment for my dad."
Henry went on to discuss how both of his parents — known individually for their distinctive fashion presence — encouraged him from a young age to explore style and use it as a form of expression.
"When I was growing up, I was always evolving with my style and just figuring out my own look or just how I feel in different clothing, but that evolved over time. So they were just telling me like, 'Whatever makes you feel good, whatever can make you feel powerful, make you feel like whoever you want to feel,' " he explains.
Klum and Seal, who divorced in 2012 following nearly seven years of marriage, share four children: Leni, 21, Henry, 20, Johan, 18, and Lou, 16.
Now, Henry is now establishing his own path in fashion, following in Klum’s footsteps. He made his runway debut in January at Paris Fashion Week, appearing in the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 show. Only a few months later, he scored his first magazine cover with Hunger.
In July, he officially signed with NEXT Management. At the time, he shared in a statement, opening up about the moment.
“I’ve grown up around fashion and entertainment, but stepping into this world myself is a whole new experience," he said at the time. "I’m grateful to Next Management for this opportunity and excited to learn, grow, and find my own voice in the industry."
