Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are one of Hollywood's most exciting couples. The singer and the actor have been dating for the past two years, with them sharing news of their engagement last year. Through it all, the pair have shared sweet photos of their relationship, sharing moments of themselves celebrating and traveling together, showing just how much they like each other.
In a new interview, Turner revealed how the two first met, with them bonding adorably over a book. The two met at a mutual friend's birthday party in Los Angeles. "We sat next to each other and realized we were reading the same book, which is crazy," said Turner in an interview with The Sunday Times.
"It’s called 'Trust' and I had just finished the first chapter and I told her and she looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter too,'" Turner shared. Then he dropped an epic line that we all should take note of. "I said, ‘So we’re on the same page.'"
Turner revealed that meeting Lipa felt like something truly special. “In the movie version of it I look up to the sky and I’m like, I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don’t worry."
More details about Lipa and Turner
Dua Lipa and Callum Turner appear to have begun dating in January of 2024, when rumors of their relationship first started after the pair were spotted together at the premiere of Turner's show, "Masters of the Air."
The pair continued to be spotted together in different places, including an outing at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles, where they were photographed kissing. They went Instagram official in July of that year, with Lipa sharing photos of the two attending the Glastonbury Festival. This year, they made their Met Gala debut.
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Lipa discussed her engagement and her experience with love. “That vulnerability is so scary, but I feel so lucky to get to feel it," she said. "I’ve spent a lot of time being guarded or protecting my heart, and so I’m letting go of that feeling and just being like, ‘Okay, if I’m supposed to get hurt, then this is what’s going to happen.’ I have to just allow love.”
When it comes to her relationship with Turner, Lipa confirmed that she's "happier than ever." "So it feels like I’m doing a disservice by not talking about it," she said.
