When the world watches you, every step becomes a statement. For Georgina Rodríguez, partner to Cristiano Ronaldo and a high-profile figure in her own right, faith is part of her narrative. In a recent visit to the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Fátima (Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima) in Portugal, Georgina offered a quiet yet powerful display of devotion, bringing along her youngest daughter, Bella Esmeralda, to witness and share in the moment.

Georgina entered the service with Bella Esmeralda perched happily on her shoulders, the little girl giggling and looking down over the sea of faithful. It was a sweet, authentic moment that cuts through the glitz and shows the woman beneath the public persona.

Inside the chapel, Georgina knelt, prayed, and participated in Mass with reverence. Bella, meanwhile, was busy in her own way, absorbing the quiet majesty of stained-glass light. At one point, Georgina presented her daughter with a gift: a book about Fátima, a gentle gesture of passing along faith and tradition.

Fátima holds deep meaning in Catholicism, where the Virgin Mary is believed to have appeared to three shepherd children in 1917. It’s a place of pilgrimages, of prayerful supplication, and of hope.

Even in her previous trips, Georgina has leaned into this spiritual side; she’s been photographed lighting candles, carrying rosaries, praying, and speaking openly about being “nurtured by God, the Virgin Mary, and the angels,” per The Catholic Herald.

“This is the Jesus I like, the one that moved me during the Holy Week procession,” says the model during her Netflix Spanish reality show I Am Georgina. “Ever since I was little,” she continues, “I’ve gone to church to light candles for God. It’s a tradition and something I need.”

Love, Loss & Seeking Grace

Her journey to Fátima is also profoundly personal. Earlier, Georgina endured the loss of one of her twin children. In many ways, her faith journey became even more visible. In seasons of her Netflix docuseries, for example, she’s been honest about how belief offers her emotional grounding.

“I am very religious; I have always felt God’s protection. God has always been an inspiration and source of strength to fight and to know what is best for me," she said.

Georgina Rodríguez isn’t just “Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner.” She’s a mother, a seeker, a person of faith. She shows us her insecurities, her loves, her losses, and now, her devotion.
