Kris Jenner’s latest beauty transformation has sent fans into a frenzy, and not just because she ditched her signature black pixie. Social media users are doing double takes, claiming the 69-year-old mogul now looks shockingly like pop star Bebe Rexha.
Others couldn’t tell if they were looking at Kris or her daughter, Kim Kardashian. The comparisons started after Jenner appeared in an Instagram reel posted by celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton. In the clip, the reality TV matriarch sits makeup-free in a salon chair, towel wrapped around her head, mouthing the lyrics to Sabrina Carpenter’s viral hit “When Did You Get Hot?” before revealing a platinum blonde, blunt-cut bob.
“Kris is turning into Kim and Kim is turning into Kris,” one user joked, while another added, “Kris and Kim out here playing Freaky Friday!” A third wrote, “I’m confused. Who is this? Kris? Kim?” The reactions didn’t stop there. “She definitely saw Lindsay Lohan’s surgeon!! That facelift did her some good justice,” one follower claimed, referencing Jenner’s recent second facelift. Another simply asked, “Can she let us know where she’s keeping the Fountain of Youth?!”
Jenner’s platinum debut wasn’t just a spontaneous switch-up, it was a glam reveal for the launch of Shark Beauty’s “Mission to Glam” event at the CUT Lounge in Beverly Hills. Captioning the reveal, she teased: “We had a fun little blonde moment tonight!”
She later told the crowd at the event, “I wore that black pixie for so long, you know, I couldn’t look at it anymore. I’m sure my kids are excited that I tried something new.” While she seemed thrilled with the change, Jenner admitted the look wasn’t permanent, “I mean, you know me, I’ll be back to the black tomorrow.”
While this isn’t Jenner’s first time dabbling in blonde, as she briefly went platinum in 2018, fans agreed this version felt like a reinvention. The new length and icy tone led some to say she looked more like Bebe Rexha than herself.
“Uhhh, she looks incredible,” commented makeup artist Ash K. Holm, who helped complete the look. “We did that!!!” Paris Hilton also chimed in, simply writing, “That’s hot.”
Jenner has stayed silent about the lookalike claims. However, she’s always been candid about her aesthetic choices. Back in September, she told Vogue Arabia that she underwent a second facelift earlier this year. “I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh,” she shared, adding, “I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy.”
“Just because you get older, it doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself,” she said in the interview. “If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully — meaning you don’t want to do anything — then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”
She’s previously admitted to Botox, breast augmentation, a neck lift (which aired on Keeping Up With the Kardashians), and her first facelift. “You can’t do something because someone else wants you to do it, and then you have to do great research on the doctor that you choose,” she once said on the show.
