Despite whispers of family tension and his noticeable absence, Victoria Beckham made a point to include her eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, during an emotional moment at the premiere of her new Netflix documentary 'Victoria Beckham' in London.

On October 8, at the Curzon Mayfair, the designer and former Spice Girl delivered a warm speech as she introduced her docuseries to the world. Standing alongside husband David Beckham and three of their four children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, Victoria acknowledged her full family, Brooklyn included.

On October 8, at the Curzon Mayfair, the designer and former Spice Girl delivered a warm speech as she introduced her docuseries to the world.

“My children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, Harper — and David — oh my God, he’s not a child! I was doing so well without cards as well!” she joked on stage, prompting laughter from the crowd.

Brooklyn, 26, did not attend the premiere, further fueling ongoing rumors of a rift between him and the Beckham family. His wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, was also not in attendance. The couple’s absence follows previous high-profile family events they also missed, including David’s 50th birthday in May, despite reportedly receiving an invitation.

However, Victoria didn’t shy away from showing affection for her son in her speech, and her words also touched on the personal growth she experienced while creating the three-part documentary.

“You know, it’s taken me this process to really be proud of what I’ve achieved and to realize finally that I am enough,” she said. She also thanked David for his encouragement, adding, “For convincing me and then forcing me, giving me no choice.” She described the project as “a very emotional experience,” likening it to “a year’s intense therapy.”

Also present at the premiere were Victoria’s Spice Girls bandmates Geri Halliwell Horner, Emma Bunton, and Melanie Chisholm. Mel B was not in attendance. The family coordinated their red carpet looks, with Victoria and Romeo in white, while the rest of the family wore black.

Despite the family drama, Victoria continues to express love for Brooklyn publicly. In her September Elle cover story, she reaffirmed the family’s close-knit values. “That’s what the Beckhams do. We like to have fun. We like to spend time all together,” she said. “We’re a very traditional family, much more than I think people would realize.”

The new Netflix docuseries, premiering October 9, offers a closer look at Victoria’s transformation from pop icon to fashion powerhouse. While Brooklyn and Nicola are absent from the premiere, they do make a brief appearance in the documentary itself.
