Blake Lively made a small show of support for Taylor Swift's new album, The Life of a Showgirl. This comes following the pair's reported falling out.
The actress, 38, gave a like to Swift's Instagram post celebrating the midnight release of her latest project. While this may seem small, it speaks volumes considering the reports surrounding the pair's rocky friendship.
Swift, 35, wrote in her post: "I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right."
"A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait," the singer continued, posting her showgirl-inspired photoshoot to promote the record. "If you thought the big show was wild, perhaps you should come and take a look behind the curtain… The Life of a Showgirl is out now."
The star superstar released her 12th album on Friday, Oct. 3.
When Swift first teased the track list back in August, fans theorized on social media that the song titled, "Ruin the Friendship" would be about her reported falling out with Lively. Ultimately, however, the song ended up not about the pair's friendship, instead exploring unrequited love and regret while telling the story of a high school crush with a tragic ending.
A source revealed to PEOPLE back in August that the longtime friends “aren’t speaking” amid the actress’ ongoing lawsuit with her It Ends with Us costar Justin Baldoni.
During the actress' messy legal war with Baldoni, 41, Swift has come up several times. Her name was first mentioned when Baldoni's legal team alleged that Swift had pressured him to accept Lively's rewrites on the movie in a complaint Baldoni filed in January, which was since dismissed.
In May, Baldoni's legal team dropped the subpoena they'd issued to Swift, with the singer's rep claiming the subpoena was "designed to use Taylor Swift’s name to draw public interest by creating tabloid clickbait instead of focusing on the facts of the case."
Because of all of this drama, a source close to Swift told PEOPLE in May, "Their friendship has halted. Taylor wants no part in this drama."
Another insider claimed that while Swift and Lively are "not no longer friends," they are "taking some space" from each other.
