After 19 years of marriage, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated, multiple outlets confirm. Urban, 57, has reportedly moved out of the couple’s shared home in Nashville, acquiring his own place in the city.
While there’s no official word yet on whether the pair plans to divorce, the separation marks a significant turning point in their long-standing relationship.
TMZ was first to report that the couple has been living apart "since the beginning of summer." Several sources backed that up, telling Page Six that the country music star and Oscar-winning actress have quietly been navigating life separately for months.
“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” one insider said. However, those close to Kidman insist this wasn’t the outcome she wanted. “Nicole did not want the separation and was trying to save things,” a source shared, echoing similar reports across outlets.
The 58-year-old 'Big Little Lies' star has remained at the family’s Nashville home, taking care of their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. One source noted, “[Kidman is] holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”
Reps for both Kidman and Urban have not yet responded to requests for comment. Public appearances by the pair have been fewer in recent months, and sources say the emotional distance was becoming evident.
While fans continued to see the couple support each other at red carpet events, like the 58th and 60th Academy of Country Music Awards, it appears their personal lives were already in flux behind the scenes.
Their 2006 wedding was once seen as a storybook romance between Hollywood and Nashville, but now the future of their union remains uncertain.
