Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding is one of the most anticipated of the year, but also one of the most secretive. Rumors suggest the couple could say “I do” at the end of this month in California. Preparations for the big day have been kept highly private; however, a few details about the celebration have surfaced.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco celebrated their respective bachelor and bachelorette parties at the end of August. She spent hers with friends under the sun in Los Cabos, Mexico, while he enjoyed a party with friends in Las Vegas. The timing of these events drew attention due to the closeness of their wedding, which could take place on Saturday, September 27.

The couple is said to have chosen an estate in Santa Barbara, California, to host their guests. According to Page Six reports, guests will be staying at the El Encanto hotel during the wedding weekend. Each room costs $3,500 per night, and reservations are already fully booked.

The wedding details have been handled with extreme care, so guests will be transported from the hotel to the estate without knowing exactly where the event will take place. “Everyone is excited despite the mystery. They know they’re going to have a great time,” a source close to the couple told the publication.

A Long-Awaited Celebration of Love

In December 2024, Selena Gomez shared the big news of her engagement on social media. Benny Blanco had given her a stunning ring to seal their love after more than a year together. “Forever starts now,” the singer wrote alongside a gallery capturing the engagement moment, proudly showing off the oval diamond ring her fiancé gave her when he got down on one knee.

Although Selena and Benny began dating in 2023, they’ve known each other for over a decade. He produced some of Gomez’s songs, including "Same Old Love" and "Kill Em with Kindness." Benny also worked with Selena's ex, Justin Bieber. But it wasn’t until 2023, when Benny produced "Single Soon," that their paths crossed in a new way and their romance began.

When the news broke, headlines started spotlighting how Bieber was under the never-ending shadow of Selena Gomez, as they dated on and off for years before he married Hailey Bieber in 2018. However, when Selena got engaged to Bieber's former producer, he reportedly started having "mixed feelings."

"Justin confided in Benny about his heartbreak over Selena," a source revealed. "In a way, he felt betrayed, even though he knew he had no right to feel that way."  An insider told In Touch Weekly that Justin felt "offended" when Benny cut him out of his life. "They used to be great friends, so it came as a huge shock," the source shared. The insider wrapped things up by saying, "[Justin has] tried so many times to make peace with them and get past the BS, but they just won't let it go, and he's now saying good riddance."

Despite whatever Justin may feel or think, Selena has expressed that she can't wait to marry Blanco. In a conversation with Rolling Stone, the couple said: "I think every day she’s planned a new wedding in her head," said Blanco. "We’re very much 'take it one day at a time'-type of people. We’re still not over this moment. Literally, while you were talking, she was sitting there staring at her ring."

Gomez pitched in and said that she's incredibly happy to be engaged. "I genuinely feel like this is such a special time that we get to apply it to this album and really just pour our heart into it, and completely translate what we feel and bring it to the world. That’s my main focus right now, at least," she said.
