Amber Heard is happy to be back in Madrid. The American actress has experienced a year of great change and new beginnings, welcoming twins in May and starring in an awaited theater production this summer in the US. Earlier this week, Heard was photographed back in Madrid, where she's been living for the past couple of years.
Photographers captured Heard enjoying her day as she laughed with some friends. She wore a comfortable slip dress for the occasion, in black with white dots on it, and had her hair wrapped in a bun.
She rounded out the look with some black sandals and was seen joking with her friends, laughing as she pretended to smoke.
Over the past year, Heard welcomed twins in the US. The news was shared in May, with a representative for Heard revealing that the twins had completed her family and that Heard's first child, Oonagh, was thrilled by the new additions.
"Mama and babies are enjoying every minute. And Oonagh is happily running the show," read the statement, shared to PEOPLE.
Heard reveals her babies' names
Heard revealed her babies' names in an Instagram post celebrating Mother's Day. "This year, I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years. Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full," reads her post, which showed her children's adorable little feet.
In the post, Heard described her journey with fertility as "the most humbling experience" of her life. "I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully. To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you," she concluded the post.
In the following months, Heard starred in the theater production "Spirit of the People," written by the celebrated playwright Jeremy O. Harris. Following the show's conclusion in August, Heard shared her thanks to the fans and followers alongside some flowers that were gifted to her.
"Thank you to all of my fans and supporters for making this already unforgettable weekend so much more beautiful," she wrote. "The flowers won’t last forever, but the memories of all the love and support I received through this will."
