Jacob Elordi and Olivia Jade Giannulli’s relationship is the kind of Hollywood romance that keeps fans guessing. The two first sparked dating rumors in late 2021, just a month after Elordi split from model Kaia Gerber. Since then, they've had an on-and-off again kinda vibe that screams "situationship."
After breaking up in August, she was spotted supporting him at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8th.
Although they didn't walk the red carpet together, she was waiting to enter the theater with him after, and he was even spotted carrying the train of her dress. Naturally, it left people wondering if they were back together.
On Monday, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that they are back on. An insider told the outlet that the two are officially “seeing each other again” despite their reported split just weeks prior. “Even though they’ve been on and off, they still talk all the time and remain close friends,” the insider shared. “Her family really likes him, and they have the same circle of friends.”
An insider told Us Weekly, “They have been on and off for many months and recently reconnected in NYC." They noted that they "aren’t putting a label on it" and are ready to see if the "relationship will work again.”
Olivia is also back in the states, which should make it a little easier to figure out. She briefly moved to Paris for the summer and is now splitting her time between LA and New York. While the Euophoria star has a busy schedule, the insider said they are "making more of an effort this time to prioritize each other. Both are approaching things with more maturity, taking it slow, and seeing where it goes.”
On and off and on and off
After sparking rumors in December 2021, they went public in May 2022. The pair reportedly broke up in August 2022, but reconnected again a month later and were spotted in NYC and Los Angeles. By summer 2023, they were vacationing in Italy together.
There were rumors that they split in January 2024, but sources shut them down. They were then spotted in Italy together with her parents in September 2024, and things seemed fine for the next year.
Following their latest split in August, Olivia opened up about the changes in her life in a YouTube video, saying, “I feel like my therapist has very much supported me during this season of life and change, and I’m very grateful that I have an outlet and somebody to talk to.”
